How It Works

The spark ignition system consists of:

• Ignition button - Mounted on the control panel, one press generates the spark
• Spark generator - Converts battery or 12V supply into high-voltage spark
• Spark electrodes - Located at each burner to create the ignition spark
• Wiring harness - Connects all components together

Available Configurations

1.5V Battery System
Powered by a single AA or AAA battery (model dependent). Ideal for installations without 12V supply. Battery typically lasts 6-12 months with normal use.

12V Mains System
Connects directly to your vessel's 12V electrical system. No batteries required. Perfect for boats and motorhomes with existing 12V supply.

Troubleshooting

If your spark ignition isn't working:

• Check the battery (1.5V systems) - replace if weak
• Check 12V supply is connected and powered (12V systems)
• Clean the spark electrode tips - carbon buildup can prevent sparking
• Check the electrode gap is correct (typically 3-4mm)
• Listen for clicking sound when button is pressed - confirms generator is working

Professional Service

While some spark ignition maintenance can be performed by users (battery replacement, electrode cleaning), any electrical repairs should be carried out by a qualified technician.

For 12V installations, work should be performed by someone competent in marine or vehicle electrical systems.
